Younghusband (spr. jönghösbänd), Francis Edward, Forschungsreisender, geb. Mai 1863, bereiste 1886 die Mandschurei, 1887 die Wüste Gobi, 1889-91 das Pamirhochland, war 1892-95 in Dardistan und Tschitral, 1896-97 in Transvaal und Rhodesia, 1898 in Ostindien, 1903-4 bei der Expedition nach Tibet politisch tätig; schrieb: »The heart of a continent. A narrative of travels in Manchuria etc. 1884-94« (1896; 4. Aufl. 1904), »South Africa of to-day« (1898), mit seinem Bruder George John Y., »The relief of Chitral« (1895).
